Has it's flaws

This is a great figure, stands a bit taller than RID Optimus. I like the use of the see-thru purple on this figure. It resembles Megatron glowing from the dark energon. I would have preferred a more silver like color to the molded grey plastic. I think the shoulder spikes should have been incorporated into the arms of the figure rather than free floating pieces. They just get in the way of the cannon when posing. The cannon, is a light up gimmicky weapon. Probably the second most accurate compared to Bee's dual blasters. I would have foregone the light up/sword function for one that I could change myself. The sword can only be deployed if you maintain pressure on the cannon itself. In aircraft mode, I think Megs looks ok, he does have a good deal of unused "hollow" space when transformed. Transformation is not that hard. Mine however, is a little loose on the right leg (thigh joint) from folding them up into a V. If you don't want the light up weapon gimmick, go for the Arms Micron Voyager Darkness Megatron. If you can't spend that much, grab the RID version here.

Cool!

Cool figure. Paint not so bad. Fusion Cannons is ok. Over all a nice figure.

Decent version of Megs but does need some work.

Recently picked up Megatron from here at the source and let me first start things off by saying he will be hard to find along with deluxe Soundwave. Anyway on to the toy itself. Megs is a very nice version of his Prime cartoon. The main thing that caught me when i opened him was the simple fact that the plastic was not the right color compared to how he looked in the cartoon. He is suppose to be silver and dark grey for the inside of the forearms. Never saw him with a battle claw like he has in toy form and the fusion cannon is a bit oversized considering the light up gimmick installed. The flip down sword is a nice touch and does recreate his sword extending from his cannon in the show. Again the color for the fusion cannon is wrong along with the sword. They should be silver and not bronze brown. I do plan on painting Megs to match his cgi form and he will good next to my 1st edition optimus that i got before they went up in price. Also with price don't pay double for this guy like they are charging on amazon or ebay. Not worth an asking price $45-50 before shipping. Got him here at the source with shipping for under $40 which is perfect. Might pick up the new Optimus but i don't like the clear blue in the forearms. The purple for Megs works since it looks like hes powered by Dark Energon. Like i said if you can find Megs for a decent price then go for it. He will look good after the paint job and you won't be disappointed.
