Very nice looking figure!! But flawed.

In the packaging one can almost notice the flaws in the figure. The windows are cast in clear plastic rather than black or another darker color and you can see all the robot bits inside. Otherwise, he's your average muscle car with horns on the hood. Transformation can get annoying as there are a lot of panels and twisting. In robot mode, Cliffjumper sports a fake chest, but I don't mind that since it is more show-accurate. His legs are more show-accurate as well, but unfortunately are very light and on a smooth surface, the heavy upper body causes the legs to slide. His doors fold up to become his arms, but unfortunately they clip together very loosely and tend to flop around while posing him. I like his hammer, but I still prefer the triple barreled blasters like on the first edition. Overall, this figure is a fun figure and a very nice looking, but some aspects are not as fun, such as the arms. Even so, I like this figure alot and I give it a 4/5.

Feel a little cheated

To start, Cliff Jumper looks great in car mode, that's all I'll say about that. Transformation into robot mode is extremely easy. Head sculpt is nice, better than first edition. The figure itself seems pretty solid, joints are tight, paint apps are well applied. Now to the bad. The deluxe series are referred to as "revealers." This means a certain part of the transformation has an auto-transform caused by the movement of certain parts. In this case, CJ head pops up when pushing the shoulders down. This leads to my gripes. To do this "reveal", Hasbro made a fake chest. In comparison to the first edition, I felt a little cheated. The FE fully transformed using most of the pieces with little kibble. This one, most of the hood of the car is on the back. That aside, RID CJ is very hollow. The arms, the legs, shoulders. When looking at CJ from the side, it really looks like he needs to eat some energon. Lastly, not a fan of the weapon. Just a big club. Preferred the FE that had the flip out blasters from the show built in to the forearm. I got this figure just to complete my collection. If you can get the FE, I would say go FE. This version of CJ doesn't really stand up to the other Prime RID figures.
