This great custom upgrade kit from Make Toys includes all three sets required to form the green giant, in one giftset packaging.
"G1 Devastator lives again!!"
Just got in green giant and all i can say is this thing is simply amazing. Of course thanks to the source for finally getting him in stock and shipping out plenty of em for those who ordered him. Giant comes in his combined mode sections and ready to assemble. Don't throw out the box since the instructions are located on the back and you'll need those if your wanting to display these guys in either bot mode or alt mode. Towering in at about 12 inches tall green giant is in perfect scale with the deluxe figures from the current lines. He even puts the new FOC Bruticus to shame but then again that version of Bruticus still kinda looks like crap next to anything 3rd party and worked on longer than 3 hrs in a factory. I just need to dig out my encore devy with the jb-07 upgrade set for display next to this new updated version. Best part is at $356 and free shipping anywhere in the states from the source you simply can't look at this guy and think he looks good and a decent sub next to Hercules at $600 not counting their upgrade set. Looking forward to getting the Stunticons now from Fansproject and having an epic throw down against the bots. Anyway final verdict on Make Toys Green Giant is simply BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!!
"Not Yellow One"
I have Yellow and I thought I would be getting even better quality. Well, that is just not true. If you have the yellow and love it, stick with it. Green came out of the package with what looks like indentations in the plastic in multiple places, does not fit together as well, the joints are not as tight in the wrists, arms, and legs, and the right hand will not hold his melee weapon in well. I had to tighten the screws around the wrist and the hand just so his axe would not fall out of the hand much less stay up while posed. End thoughts. I think for this price they should be sending me a free replacement that has been checked over for multiple flaws like this this one.
"MakeToys Got it Right"
This has got to be one of, if not THE best combiners I've seen. The engineering that went into this figure is amazing. Each of the individual bots are extremely poseable, and have some of the best paint apps I've seen. All 6 bots are great on their own, but once combined this figure is awe inspiring. Aesthetically pleasing from all vantage points, Green Giant is definitely a perfect combination of G1 inspiration with a modern twist. If you passed on the yellow version, pick this guy up. You won't regret it .
"Out standing!"
I spent a lot of time compareing Green Giant to Herc and I must say I am very pleased to have gone with the less expencive of the two. The asthetic alone is much closer to the true combiner than Herc could ever be. Very stable and looks excellent when displayed with my TW-01 Hegemon and other classic size transformers. Having grown up with the cartoon, the G1 asthetic plays a key roll in helping me decide which Transformers I want for my collection. Green Giant has this in spades. I could not ask for a better version. I have every Make Toys TF to date minus the yellow version of Giant and I must say this is thier best work so far. Looking forward to seeing what Make Toys has coming next. Highly recomend this over the almost twice as expencive Herc.
"Jolly Green Giant"
I absolutely love Green Giant. I love the new head on him; mouth opens and plus he has laugh lines. Think about it he is suppose to smile when he's doing demolition.
Bad: I had to send it back because of issues with the crand and dump truck.
Good: He's everything of a G1 expectation. What separates Green Giant from Hercules. Green Giant leans more towards G1 accuracy/ modernize version of him. Hercules is more of an imposing menace.
P.S. Maketoy is commissioned to do techno-bots can't wait for that
"THE BEST"
VERY VERY GOOD, THE BEST IN THE WORLD!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
"Makes me feel like a kid again."
Remember what you THOUGHT Devastator looked like as a little kid? Giant actually looks like that. He just kicks so much butt it's hard to believe it's a transforming toy and not a massive resin model. The connections are sturdy, the posability is good considering his mass, and the bots all have something going for them too. Each truck could pass for a non-transforming model of itself (except for the lack of shovel action). The color is classic-accurate, not that day-glo lime green like you-know-who.
I keep him on a corner above my desk, and though I've had him for a month now I still grin a little each time I look at him.
If you're on the fence between this set, and the competitor that costs $200 more (before the add-ons), don't be - you won't regret a date with the Green Giant.
A mint box generally has no noticeable flaws. This doesn't mean it is a C10 box, but that it doesn't have any significant damage to the box. It still may have wear to the window, and a small amount of wear to the box that is noticeable upon close inspection.
A C9 box is still considered very displayable and may have a kink, ding, minor fray to an edge, etc. The box is still case fresh and unopened with factory sealed tape on both sides.
By selecting this option, TFsource allows you to continue to add either instock or preorder items to your stack, as well as change how your orders ship out, which can save you on shipping!
