4.75 stars - Almost a Masterpiece!
By Dylanus Prime on August 10, 2017
I have to admit, I was dubious of the Fans Toys range because it wasn't 'official' Takara Masterpiece - I was dubious about all the 3rd party stuff for the same reason, but this guy changed my mind!
I always wanted Swoop as a kid and living in the UK he wasn't easy to come by. So when Soar arrived on the scene I was tempted. Eventually my child-brain overruled my adult-brain and I took the plunge into 3rd. party waters.

I'm glad I did - He's a hefty, large-scale figure with tons of nostalgic detail and the age-old mark of quality: Die-Cast parts. Feels and looks great, a real labour of love and he sits perfectly alongside Masterpiece Grimlock. My only complaint is wobbly feet, for something so heavy his feet aren't great and he can't hold his own weight too well in robot mode. Use the stand or make sure he's posed in such a way he doesn't 'Donimo' your other figures! Bit of an oversight, but you can look past it when he's lined up with the other 'bots! Good work FansToys!
