One word ..AMAZING!!
By Junkbot on February 26, 2017
When I forst learned how Fans Toys was going to do their own version of all of the Dinobots, I didn't hesitate for one second to preorder all of them. By far, I have to say he definitely my favorite. His design is absolutely flawless and he constructed to last. Now all I am waiting on is their fearless leader Grimlock. If you are on the fence you need to just do it because opening him brought back a ton of memories as a kid and only this time it's worth every penny with the articulation. Gotta love Fans Toys!!! Absolute Perfection!! =-)

The G1 aesthetic, head and face sculpt, accurate Sunbow size, and satisfying heft all contribute to FT's homage to Sludge as the most impressive of all the Iron Dibots released to date.

This was a great toy! Lots of details and comes close to G1 accuracy. Stomp is heavy and made of sturdy material. He's worth every penny spent on him.

This is the best third party transformer to date. Worth every penny. Researched all the reviews on this guy before buying and all the hype lived up to stomp. You really have to have this figure in hand to truly appreciate it. Looking forward to fanstoys version of grimlock. Im sure they wont disappoint. Thank you TFSOURCE for your quick and prompt service. I will order again from yiu guys soon.

STOMP IS A MASTERPIECE SLUDGE
By TRANSFAN73 on June 19, 2016
WHAT CAN I SAY FANSTOYS HAS DONE IT AGAIN. THIS IS THE BEST SLUDGE OUT THERE. I NEVER HAD SLUDGE AS A KID. BUT I HAVE HIM NOW AND HE IS A TRUE MASTERPIECE. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW MUCH HE WEIGHTS. THE TRANSFORMATION FROM DINO MODE TO ROBOT WAS FLAWLESS. THE RATCHETING JOINTS ARE GREAT. EVERY THING FITS TIGHT. HE LOOKS JUST LIKE THE G1 CARTOON IN BOTH MODES. I HAVE ALL THE FT. DINOBOTS AND LOOK FORWARD TOO GETTING GRINDER (GRIMLOCK). IF YOU LIKE YOUR DINOBOTS TO BE MASTERPIECE SCALE AND TOO LOOK LIKE THE G1 CARTOONS THEN GET HIM. $200 IS NOT TOO MUCH.
Caution: will make you giggle with joy like a kid

This figure made me giggle inside as I opened the box and set my eyes on it for the first time! Up till now, only my wife had such powers over me. How will Grimmy make me feel?
Raises the bar

Not since I opened my MP-01 Prime over a decade ago have I been so blown away by a figure. My first iron Dibot. I had a soft spot for Sludge from owning the original I bought at a garage sale as a kid. I'd say Stomp is built like a high quality piece of camera equipment more than a toy. Incredibly poseable, stocky and thoughtfully constructed. Opening the dino mouth reveals a pair of flamethrower barrels, the fingers are articulated, and the gold robot feet have side to side movement. Chest has a prominently and well shaped space for a certain licensed symbol to be placed if you so desire. I loved all the extra goodies that came with him, including the 'bug-out" cartoon eyes. Comes with two robot mode faces and three sets of robot mode eyes, chrome blue, flat blue and red. I switched to flat blue. Warning, the four batteries to light up the sword and pistol set me back another 15 dollars at radio shack. Better off ordering them online, they're 377/sr626 watch batteries. It's going to murder my wallet, but now I must own all five iron dibots. What a magnificent figure.

Another amazing addition from FT. The dinobots are coming together well.
He may be dumb, but he sure is pretty.

So Stomp may not be the brightest bulb, but he definitely looks good in any collection! Fanstoys latest addition to their Iron Dibots line really shows just how far they have come along the lines of design and build quality.
Stomp is large, heavy, and an extremely solid figure that shows no signs of fragility anywhere. The legs are feet are huge and beefy allowing him to be extremely stable. Even the "wings" are thick enough that i do not worry about them snapping at any point during the transformation.
Speaking of transformation, there are several really clever "wow" moments during the process on this guy. From the way the claws over to allow the hands out, to the way the dino head and neck neatly fold up into a surprisingly slim backpack, I really have nothing to complain about with Stomp in this regards.
Finally aesthetics. Stomp looks the part, the Iron Dibots line has to be my favorite series of my collection and he is the best of the bunch. He looks so much like the animation model (at least to me), that i can't imagine another product replacing him on the shelf. As mentioned his backpack is small, nice and tidy. And any kibble in robot mode is obviously put there intentionally.
All in all, great figure, if you have the rest of these guys, you definitely need to pick him up.

Pros: The build quality of this thing is incredible, as is the overall look and feel of it. Very nice combination of plastic and diecast. An excellent embodiment of the G1 character.
Cons: infuriating to transform. The legs are waaaaay too complicated to unpack. Some of the fold-out panels are too tight, and the button for loosening one of the hips was completely stiff and needed a lot of fiddling to get it loose.
