EVEN MORE 'perfect shots' from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

COUNTDOWN: EVEN MORE ‘perfect shots’ from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has finally made it to digital home release, giving us plenty of opportunity to pour over every detail of the new film in full HD glory!

So with that in mind, we’ve combed through the two-hour adventure and made a selection of the most “perfect shots” for your viewing pleasure! Check out the first and second lists in case you missed them already.

MASSIVE SPOILERS ahead in case you haven’t seen the film!

#35:

Though it’s a shame this moment was glimpsed during late-stage trailers, there’s still a huge thrill from seeing the impressive Apelinq getting ready to square off with Scourge, especially after he pops out those imposing arm-blades!

#34:

Scourge’s creepy presence is perfectly encapsulated by this eery introduction as he looms in the shadows of the Maximal homeworld. A true threat.

#33:

Optimus Primal looks on somberly as an escape ship evacuates from the Maximal homeworld. This shot distinctly reminded me of the end of Beast Wars season 1, for some reason, despite the circumstances being very different!

#32:

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee share a brief moment whilst staking out the museum, with the Autobot leader disapproving of his scout’s love of drive-in movies.

#31:

Here’s Battletrap both literally and figuratively lighting up the screen!

#30:

Bumblebee rushes in to save his leader… I had a feeling this moment wasn’t going to end well on first watch!

#29:

Here’s Airazor swooping down to greet the Autobots for the first time. This was probably the main shot where we got a sense of her incredible wingspan and size!

#28:

Scourge communicates with Unicron, although it doesn’t exactly go in his favour!

#27:

Noah and the Autobots sit aboard Stratosphere on the flight to Peru as our human protagonist contemplates what will happen if he destroys the transwarp key. I’m a sucker for this kind of soft focus!

#26:

Here are the three Terrorcons performing surveillance outside of Cusco in Peru, in what is probably the most well-lit and discernible shot of them together from the whole film.

#25:

One of the lesser-highlighted shots of Arcee and Wheeljack, as they face off against Battletrap and the Terrorcons in Peru.

#24:

Optimus Prime cannot help but be eye-catching in this film, and here he is learning some important lessons about teamwork from his new Maximal comrades.

#23:

Airazor’s demise was undoubtedly one of the saddest moments of the film, as punctuated by this impressive Machu Picchu shot.

#22:

One man, alone, abandoned by the country he loves…” Oh no wait, it’s just Optimus Prime.

#21:

He’s Mirage, remember? And here he is sneaking off to what he most definitely knew was a one-way battle.

#20:

If it’s a real fight you want, get a load of Optimus Primal!

#19:

Scourge prepares to dish out the finishing blow to Mirage, looking as menacing as ever!

#18:

Here we have Mirage’s final moments (or not quite, as it turns out), as he sacrifices himself to save Noah…

#17:

…or he transforms into a rather stylish ensemble, you decide!

#16:

I love this shot of Noah, as he is struck by the sudden appearance of Optimus Prime as they’re about to confront Scourge.

#15:

One of the hardest shots of the whole film right here.

#14:

Guess who’s back?

#13:

It may not have been a major surprise to see Bumblebee revived, but boy, does he know how to make an entrance!

#12:

Optimus Primal takes on Scorponok in what could very easily be a more faithful recreation of Beast Wars in live-action!

#11:

Just another stunning shot of Unicron as he travels through the transwarp passage on his way to Earth.

#10:

A fairly horrific image, and yet one which seems surprisingly memeable, somehow?

#9:

There are many lines of dialogue which still resonate from this film, but Optimus’ “This belongs to a friend of mine!” is certainly up there.

#8:

Optimus contemplates his next move as he realises there really is only one way to stop Unicron from devouring the Earth.

#7:

Optimus Primal looks on at his namesake and thanks him for his sacrifice in a touching moment.

#6:

As Noah makes his way to safety aboard Bumblebee, his expression here says everything about what he’s going to do next.

#5:

The transwarp key explodes and up Optimus goes…

#4:

…until Noah and Optimus Primal save the day! At least in this version of the film.

#3:

Another shot seen in the trailers but still one to savour as the combined Autobots and Maximals celebrate their victory.

#2:

Here’s another angle on Optimus Primal set against that breathtaking Peru landscape.

#1:

A thoughtful moment with Noah and his exo-suit… but will we see him wear it again?

So that’s our list! Did we capture your favourite moments?
