Toy Review: Unique Toys Ordin (Combined Mode)

UT Ordin

Unique Toys swung and made contact!

With Sigfried and Hagen’s releases comes the ability to get Ordin into its combined mode. The aeshtetic is a nice, modern update to the Transformers “Abominus” character and really does a great job at mixing heft with poseability and playability. It’s actually fun to pose this one and whatnot which isn’t the “norm” for most gestalts. They’ve definitely come a long way from their Warlord combiner, which was pretty much universally panned by the fandom.

In terms of size, coming in at over 14″ it definitely is meant to feel with the “newer generation scale” of combiners such as the Warbotron offerings, and that’s definitely not a bad thing. It makes the fact that it’s so playable even more impressive with the added size/weight that comes from that upscaling.

The combined blaster is a nice touch and he holds the weapon well even one-handed.

I really like what Unique Toys is doing and I like even more how they’ve become a prime example of a company taking a loss, listening to feedback, and coming back ten-fold. Great work, UT.
