Review: Fansproject’s F(x) Sigma L

Fansproject Sigma L Title

No mind control needed to love the latest in Fansproject’s Function X line!

Sigma L, Fansproject’s homage to the Transformers G1 character “Mindwipe”, comes in the box in robot mode. The personality of this sculpt really exudes from the moment you lay eyes on it. Not only is it slender emulating a more Dracula-esque presence, but it’s also clearly the tallest of the Function X series. Little touches like the claw-like fingers to even the spikes on the arms that emulate a cape on the headmaster’s robot mode really give Sigma a standout presence on your shelf. While it doesn’t feature the complex engineering of the others in its transformation, the alt. mode is also nice featuring the ability to actually hang upside down on ledges of your choice.

Overall, this is another homerun for Fansproject as they’ve managed to continue to give a real sense of personality to each robot in this line. As the Fansproject Function X line continues to grow, we can only wonder who’s going to be announced next: Here’s a vote for Snapdragon!/
