Review: Dream Maker’s WFC-02 Upgrade Kit

​In today’s review, we take a look at one of the two first releases for Dream-Makers’ WFC series with the WFC-02 upgrades for Generations Megatron! First, let’s take a look at what’s in the box:

In the picture below, On the top row, from left to right, we have –

1.) The right forearm/hand.

2.) The arm blade.

3.) The left forearm/hand.

4.) The staff/trident.

On the bottom row, from left to right, we have –

1.) The backpack.

2.) The peg for the backpack.

3.) The evil matrix.

The evil matrix is a nice accessory, and even nicer in the sense that it doesn’t have to be removed for transformation to alt. mode:

I really do like the design of the backpack in the sense that it is both non-intrusive to Megatron’s arm articulation in bot-mode, while providing storage for all weapons that doesn’t at all affect his balance when filled.

While in alt. mode, the backpack stores the forearms even to give the tank a very “loaded’ aesthetic, which I just love. Here are a few pictures of that from different angles:

Now, I just mentioned the forearms which, to me, are the most cool upgrade to him. They don’t just give him more beefed-up forearms, but also give him new hands with articulated fingers, and the ability to hold 5mm pegged weapons!

The forearms also come with square pegs on each to fit either the blade included with the set OR the blaster cannon that comes with Generations Megatron. To give him the ultimate look, you can definitely just attach one to each arm:

That last figure also goes along with that statement made earlier that the backpack does a good job of not inhibiting Megatron’s arm movement, which is a very well-thought move by Dream Maker.

Now that I’ve given you all the chance to take a look at the product itself and what it does, I want to take a moment and vouch for the actual quality of this set. Not only are the colors a dead-on perfect match for the Generations Megatron toy, but the plastic quality is a sturdy, and well-finished match as well.
