This limited edition two pack set features Optimus Prime and Megatron from the Transformers United line in an all new and exclusive color scheme only available from the Tokyo Toy Show! A great limited edition collectible!
So I bought this for a Galvatron build out of the Megatron character. I had planned on selling the Nemisis Prime since I don't get into the "black" figures (minus some 80s nostalgia). Once I opened the package I was hooked. I wanted the Megatron due to the paint scheme (mainly the purple where the red used to be) and I was more than happy. The purple is deep and shimmery and really adds a sense of depth now that the majority of the figure is purple. The color scheme on Optimus just won me over though. The ruby red windows on the all black body with the teal (or sea green) accents work so well together. Every little detail down to the Decepticon logos.
I thought it was pricey but when I realized I was buying the same quality paint apps I enjoyed on the regular United War For Cybertron figures I think it was well worth it. This set may have won me over to the dark side, pun intended, and I may now just very well be a Nemesis Prime fan.
"Need a Nemesis Prime? You GOT one!"
Thanks to TFSource's Spring Cleaning sale, I finally picked up this set after having stared at it for like a year and a half. I am SO GLAD I picked it up.
Prime, who is clearly Nemesis Prime, seems he features tempographed Decepticon logos on his shoulders, is AMAZING in his matte black with chrome teal outlines. He looks amazingly cool as a baddy clone of Optimus.
Megatron blew me away. He is the same matte black, but features very reflective, chrome purple that just screams EVIL LEADER! Comparing him to Generations Megaton, he blows Generations Megs out of the water.
Both come in a simple, but elegant, black and white cardboard box, that looks great displayed behind the figures.
I don't know how many more of this set exists, but those thinking about picking up should act NOW during the sale. You'll be glad you did.
Love the Nemesis Prime and Megatron!
A mint box generally has no noticeable flaws. This doesn't mean it is a C10 box, but that it doesn't have any significant damage to the box. It still may have wear to the window, and a small amount of wear to the box that is noticeable upon close inspection.
A C9 box is still considered very displayable and may have a kink, ding, minor fray to an edge, etc. The box is still case fresh and unopened with factory sealed tape on both sides.
By selecting this option, TFsource allows you to continue to add either instock or preorder items to your stack, as well as change how your orders ship out, which can save you on shipping!
