The true origins of Shockwave do not lie within the Takara/Hasbro lineage, but instead Shockwave was first issued by a Japanese company known as Toy Co and this is the very first release of Shockwave in his pre-Transformers form, still factory sealed in ToyCo packaging as Astro Magnum! MISB AFA G1 Shockwaves can fetch several thousand dollars, and this is the only recorded example of a factory sealed Grey Shockwave Astro Magnum in the AFA records. This is a great piece of vintage pre-transformers history, as this is the grey pre-Transformers version of Shockwave from the 70's, and the AFA graded an impressive 70 Excellent+ rating! Comes still sealed in its shrink wrap, and the AFA was able to grade this figure determining it has never been opened since leaving the factory back in the 70's! An amazing feat for such an impressive and rare piece.

A mint box generally has no noticeable flaws. This doesn't mean it is a C10 box, but that it doesn't have any significant damage to the box. It still may have wear to the window, and a small amount of wear to the box that is noticeable upon close inspection.
A C9 box is still considered very displayable and may have a kink, ding, minor fray to an edge, etc. The box is still case fresh and unopened with factory sealed tape on both sides.
