After many years, the ultimate Transformer is finally reissued! Standing nearly an impressive two feet tall, this is the Transformer we've all waited 27 years to finally own! There are two options for this piece, the early release or the later release. The early release will be early April and the later April/early May. Note: Due to Takara QC issues all pieces will be retaped/double taped. This is how they shipped from the factory.
"Very Worth It!"
I had balked at the price but in the end the want won out. I remember when Fort Max came out originally and I wanted him then.
Well worth the wait and worth the price. TFSource delivered a quality product and I will order more from them!
"Completely worth it! "
What a great figure! If you can afford him, you won't regret it. He's huge, heavy, and lots of fun. He's got a very solid feel to him, and there are all different kinds of little gimmicks to enjoy in his alt modes if you have some smaller micromaster or cyberverse figures. As an added bonus, he looks amazing with Perfect Effect's Warden figure (which you can buy on TFSource as well--and TOTALLY SHOULD). I was worried about the price tag at first, but it was worth every penny. EVERY. PENNY.
Also, big props to the TFSource's handling of my order for this guy. You guys rock. Thanks!
"Decepticons.....prepare to face Fortress... Maximus...!"
This piece is so awesome, he needs no introduction, but that was his intro line and needed to be said. The new Metroplex toy will be bigger but will not and could not be G1 maybe pre1. 1987 was his first appearence, Metroplex was not that size in 1986, and the names were superfluos interchangeable monikers they called Frenzy, Rumble and vice versa. We knew who was who as fans, these creator inferences weren't explained until way later on, 20 plus years really? Bob Budiansky came up with the premise and the bible but didn't have complete control over these things.
Everyone has seen the comic, cartoon, or anime versions so to start he is the Japanese anime version/iteration of the beloved toy. He has the Master sword both small and large present in the Japanese cartoon for Fortress and His transtector body Maximus when formed together in head formation. Also Grommet and Gasket are included. The Fortress Maximus head's eyes are tampoed making that the only true difference outside of the molding date and slight package variation. This isn't the original but I would never pay over a thousand bucks for anything opened save for LioKaiser (bought) or Dinoking Giftset period well maybe Big Powered but someone got him for $600 recently, but 1 episode of zone, doth not a season make, nor do I buy toys for a periodical as a personal preference....period.
So please buy this product, I endorse it highly and have effectively supplanted my wife with him...well I took off my ring for a little while does that count? Avoid the whammy and get this version, instead of a scratched up torn boxed yellowing nightmare of nostalgic proportion/inflation. Cool yes, practical no, but reliving your childhood fantasy without financial ruin......priceless.
A mint box generally has no noticeable flaws. This doesn't mean it is a C10 box, but that it doesn't have any significant damage to the box. It still may have wear to the window, and a small amount of wear to the box that is noticeable upon close inspection.
A C9 box is still considered very displayable and may have a kink, ding, minor fray to an edge, etc. The box is still case fresh and unopened with factory sealed tape on both sides.
By selecting this option, TFsource allows you to continue to add either instock or preorder items to your stack, as well as change how your orders ship out, which can save you on shipping!
